Flautist to Florist: Introducing Flowers by A

Welcome to our inaugural post at Flowers by A! I'm Anna, the proud owner and founder of Flowers by A, and I'm excited to share a glimpse into my background. Let's get personal!

I have spent the past decade as a professional Flute player, serving as a regular musician in the Royal Air Force. It has been an incredible journey performing at various prestigious venues across the UK and around the world. I've had the privilege of playing for our late Queen and the royal family on multiple occasions, and I take great pride in my service. While I continue to work as a freelancer in the music field, my love for performing has been ingrained in me since I was a young child, and I plan to continue making music for as long as possible.

Now, you may wonder how I transitioned from a flautist to a florist. Let me explain!

Flowers have always held a special place in my heart, dating back to my early childhood. I fondly recall my grandad taking me on walks as a toddler, pointing out the flowers in our neighbors' gardens and teaching me their names. The first flower name etched in my memory is "Forget Me Not," which inspired the name of this blog. As I grew older, I developed a habit of brightening up my home with fresh flowers. Even today, whenever I'm out for a walk, I find myself captivated by the beauty of blossoms, resulting in a camera roll filled with floral inspirations!

But how did I become enamored with faux flowers and establish Flowers by A? Stay tuned for the next post, where I'll unveil the story.

Until then, bye for now!
